On September 8, 2022, graphic artist Barbara Yelin and survivor Emmie Arbel presented a reading of ‘But I Live’ at the Osthofen Concentration Camp Memorial in Germany. In discussion with Martina Ruppart-Kelly, Head of Educational Services at Osthofen, Barbara Yelin introduced the graphic novel and explained the process of creating the book project. She also explored how far graphic novels can open up new possibilities in the social and educational debate on the history of the Holocaust.
